Always.

It's friendship's day and for the first time in my entire life, I feel no excitement regarding it. For whom shall I buy friendship bands? We are all so far away from each other. School has ended, but those most precious memories stay tightly bound to my heart. So I decided that no matter what the distance, all my favorite idiots must get a very special message on this day.

Lying under the stars,

Drowning myself in what used to be,

I realize we are too far,

And yet you play inside of me.

Those days of laughter and swinging moods,

That precious window I can’t forget,

Shamelessly snatching the better of your food,

Everyday like after ages we met.

Picking up each other at every fall,
Picking on each other religiously everyday,
Singing (screaming) all day without a call,
Heart-aches can't break us, come what may.

The end lead us to fear losing touch,
Promises to hold each other through thick & thin,
We hoped they won't falter much,
The last high-5's were felt deeply akin.

I'm so glad you strengthened in you my trust,
I'm so glad you stayed close,
Our love is like real stardust,
Through the darkest times it brightly glows.

Oblivion is what I feared,

But beautiful you saved me,

Into my heart you gently peered,

My friend, you braved me.

Zing!

Love,  what is love? Don't worry, you'll get the answer on tumblr, instagram, facebook or what have you. Its not what it was before... Simple, sweet and serene... It’s more of complicated, demanding and depressing. 

Admit it or not, as teenagers most of us have begun the search for true love...which is rather hard to find, and at this age? Pfft!! We fall in "love" so easily, experiencing ecstasy and melancholy in their extremes, pulling us in opposite directions… Finally, we want to break free... And that's what we end up doing.

We need something stronger to believe in. Something that would not make us wish to escape. I believe in ZING! If you ask me to define it, I would probably say, "It’s that funny, wiggly-wobbly, clickety-click, magical yet real feeling, more profound yet fathomable than love!"

Love is too mainstream. Everyone falls in love and every so often that it has simply lost its value. It’s no more a "Once-in-a-life-time" thing our grandparents used to talk about, one which perseveres, against all odds, from the first realization of love till the very end.

Call me dreamy, but I do believe and wish for something like a magical-miracle in the form of love or...zing! 

Zing is the new love! It happens only once in your life. You meet and you zing, that's all. You know deep-down that you want to and you must spend the rest of your days with this one person or your life will be incomplete, rather meaningless. You want to protect them from all that is evil, and if death does you apart, you'll keep their memories alive!

Zing is not sad, depressing or heart-breaking like silly-old love! It teaches you to be happy through another's eyes, it lifts your spirits in the lowest of points and strengthens you to the point that you'll have the courage to fight against the world (even aliens) if they seem to cause any harm to your zing! Its magic to be precise, a kind of magic you'll feel with each other while doing or discussing the most trivial of matters. Zing will possess your soul in such a way that you'll forget all your insecurities and never would want to escape. You'll agree to exchange your hearts with each other and nurture it till your last breath. 

I believe in ZING. It will come one day...When I'm done and over with falling in love several times, getting heart-broken and scarred those many times...It won't just heal those scars but also erase the marks scars are notorious to leave behind.

Until then... I'll keep loving.

This poem is a promise to all the pieces of my heart at BSS who said they'll never leave and they nevrr did. Its a promise to be there for you through all your ups and downs in life, like you have been with me. I love you beyond any words that I can pen down here...

If the loneliness of the night caves in on you
If your light inside seems to betray
I'll sit by your side, sharing my light with you
Coz I promise, I'm here to stay.

I know you have some nightmares
And sometimes the pain will be hard to bare
But just hold my hand and jump off this cliff
Together, we can fly away
I'll be your wings when you feel broken
